An American Carol

I'm really excited to see the movie American Carol. It's a patriotic version of A Christmas Carol. The storyline is the director Michael Malone wants to abolish the 4th of July. He's visited by 3 American figures - George Washington, General Patton, and Trace Adtkins.

I'm happy that there's finally a movie that supports conservatism being made in Hollywood. The movie opens Friday October 3rd.

Catching Up

I haven't blogged in awhile so I think I need to recap on the last 2 1/2 months. My trip to Boston was soo much fun!! I met alot of new people and saw places like Yorktown and even went inside Paul Revere's House. I was chosen to say a speech and to lead a mock congress session.

In August I went to Big Bear with the Bakers and went camping with my family.

I started High School at Mater Dei on September 2nd.

On September 18th I had a belt promotion and got my Green Advanced Belt.

That was pretty much the rest of my summer

Boston

I leave for Boston, Massachusetts on Sunday morning. I'm going for a leadership conference called the National Young Leaders Conference Alumni Boston . I went to the Jr. National Young Leaders Conference in March of last year and I was invited to go this year for the Alumni session. I'm so excited and grateful that I can go! So, this morning I've been packing and making check off lists and making sure I have all my paperwork and stuff ready for Sunday morning.

Even though I'm really excited to go, I'm going to be missing something I've been waiting all year for- UGSFAW. This will be my first year since UGSFAW started that I won't be there :-( I'm going to miss getting slimed and doing the UGSFAW dance but I'll be there next year!!!

If they have internet where I'm staying, I'll try to post some pictures of my trip. While I'm there I'm going to be going to Plymoth Rock, Salem, Old North Church, and a whole lot of other places you probably saw on National Treasure. On Thursday, we're staying the night on the U.S.S. Massachusetts and flying back Friday.

1st Blog

So, i finally caved in and made a blog. I'm sitting at home alone and decided to make the best of my time. I just got home from basketball camp at Mater Dei High School and I'm getting ready to go to my Belt Promotion to get my Green Belt at Martial Arts USA...Hiyah!!!! My Godparents and the Bakers are coming to watch and will also see my instructor throwing some black belts across the room so Megan, Aaron, and Travis should have fun. Hopefully they won't get any ideas though...

Tomorrow is my birthday and I'm turning 15!!!!
It's hard to believe its been 13 years since the Bakers came to my 2nd birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese. Wow how the years have gone by...

My parents are in Vegas seeing Garth Brooks and are driving back tonight hopefully with something from the coca cola store...
